Unfortunately, today, 12.30.07 is the last day Lakeside will be opened. They will rent out their space (as of last week) to a law office. This restaurant was a fave of our church down the block with good food, a fair price and a warmth that is rare in C-town. Untold many college students were fed by meals they catered for a reasonable price. They will be missed but the owners are retiring and they deserve it.

I have eaten at the Lakeside Deli for many years. They are, in my book the mark of a great place, consistantly putting out great tasting food; it is always so sad to have a great meal one time and next be dissapointed. The Cook is Hong Kong trained, brother of the owner, and the dinning experence reflects this. I enjoy the shrimp wonton with rice noodles and greens, it has so much goodnes and is filling, just right for a quick meal.

nice piece! i've been wanting to go to Lakeside for a long time. it's highly recommended by a coworker at Pif and we keep meaning to go up after work some time (they're open late i think) but we never end up getting there. i'm definitely going for the jellyfish and the Horlick's!
