Last week’s Philly Food Blogger Meetup gave us an opportunity that we couldn’t ignore: corner some of our favorite food bloggers to uncover a few of their “secret spots.” So after a few beverages, we sat down to chat about some of their favorite lesser-known restaurants. In fact, we were lucky enough to get so many recommendations that we made two episodes. This week we’ll cover Zahav and Modo Mio.

Here’s a brief rundown

Old City’s Zahav

David McDuff from McDuff’s Food and Wine Trail thinks Old City’s Zahav has something for everyone. Delicious Israeli food prepared with love in a great environment. Perfect for a meal or a snack.

Northern Liberties’ Modo Mio

Jess (Fries with that Shake) and Kate (Messy and Picky) really like Modo Mio. The whole experience is really enjoyable – delicious food, great service, comfortable atmosphere. Plus plenty of options for veggies and it’s a BYOB. Also, I can’t wait to give the Tiramisu a shot.

I really enjoyed the chance to chat with David, Jess and Kate. Give the podcast a listen; I don’t think you’ll be dissappointed.

Next episode, I’ll be chatting with three other bloggers about Divan Kitchen, Q.T. Vietnamese Sandwich and Tiffin Mt. Airy. So stay tuned…
